Replacing carbon brushes in Makita drill, in specific, is
just a series of few steps. If you follow these steps, changing carbon brushes
will not be an issue for you. First you have to determine the kind of brush
that fits in your drill. In new models of Makita drills, access to carbon
brushes is very easy as compared to old models in particular.
In new models,
simply taking off the rear cover exposes the brushes. As the rear cap is
removed, you’ll see carbon brushes tucked in the guide sleeve. All you have to
do is to remove them from the guide sleeve and replace them with the new ones
in similar way. Make sure that the carbon brushes are in good contact with the
armature. Now you are finished with fitting in the brushes and after finishing
off from the fitting of brushes put back the tool together with care.
